Customer challenge

The bottle cleaning process involves pre-soaking, alkaline cleaning, and chlorine dioxide disinfection. The challenge is dosing enough chlorine dioxide for reliable disinfection while keeping costs and corrosion low. Process fluctuations, like temperature and flow changes, downtimes, and pressure peaks, complicate measurement. High dirt loads can contaminate sensors, leading to incorrect measurements, high costs, and risks to people and machines.

Our solution

Maisel Brewery and Endress+Hauser developed a self-sufficient panel solution for disinfection measurement. It ensures stable, low-maintenance operation, precise chlorine dioxide dosing, and protects the sensor with automatic flushing and pressure regulation. The system adapts to process phases and reduces manual effort significantly.
