A world full of measurement technology

Endress+Hauser is once again opening its doors as a sponsor and exhibitor at the second edition of the industry night of the Basel region

Publiceringsdato: 05.04.2024

What influence does measurement technology have on our lives? How accurately do modern sensors work? And how do technical innovations help us on the path to a sustainable future? Endress+Hauser will provide answers to these exciting questions at the Industry Night 2024 and offer a glimpse behind the scenes. Visitors can immerse themselves in the diverse world of Endress+Hauser at various themed stands and talk to our experts.

Exciting professional challenges

Visitors can find out more from HR employees about the world of work in the company and job opportunities in their area. Young talents can discover the wide range of training and further education opportunities and get a first-hand impression of our training workshop. Apprentices and vocational trainees will present the various training professions and talk about their everyday lives.

In an interview with our apprentices, Chairman of the Board of Directors Matthias Altendorf provides exciting insights into his career, which has taken him from his apprenticeship to the top of the Endress+Hauser Group.

Global presence and local responsibility

Sustainability is an important driver of Endress+Hauser's business - but it is also deeply rooted in the company culture. New buildings are constructed to the highest energy-saving standards. The company's own solar systems cover a considerable proportion of its electricity requirements. And modern storage technology helps to make good use of the waste heat from the production facilities.

Visitors learn first-hand how Endress+Hauser lives and actively shapes sustainability - and what else the company has planned for the future.

With almost 17,000 employees worldwide, Endress+Hauser is today a thoroughly international company - and a technological leader. Employees share their multicultural experiences and talk about their professional challenges.

As a family business, social commitment is close to Endress+Hauser's heart. The experts from Endress+Hauser present the cooperation with the Baselland integration center and the integrative assembly company Promonta, where around 60 employees with disability pensions provide services in the areas of component assembly, electronics production and internal production logistics.

Making technology fun

Using interactive models, visitors can playfully discover where Endress+Hauser products play a role in their lives and what can be measured with Endress+Hauser devices. In live experiments, participants can test whether their senses can keep up with the precision of sensors.

Together with Birkhäuser+GBC, Neoperl, Business Parc and KMU Reinach, Endress+Hauser is also organizing a fox hunt that rewards visitors with additional insights into the work of the participating partner companies in the Kägen industrial zone. A quiz question has to be answered correctly at each location in order to win great prizes.

Endress+Hauser welcomes the whole family to the Industry Night: food and drinks will be provided for the physical well-being of all guests; there will also be plenty for young visitors to discover in the company's own daycare center. Details of the exciting program at Endress+Hauser and the shuttle plan can be found here.

On April 19, the Industry Night opens up new perspectives on the fascinating working worlds of the Basel region: www.industrienacht.com.
